Today I got my very first letter from half way around the world! It got to me all the way from Germany! and I am so so so grateful for the mail today! Evan is doing super! He loves the work! Elder Aumen, his companion, and him get along very well. They have the same bright blonde hair, and they beep box together, they both like singing. Evan also said that Elder Aumen is way good at teaching and with people, and he's got such a strong love for the work and the investigators and the members. Evan had kind of hard time with his companion in the MTC, but he learned that he needed to just look for the good things in his companion. Its neat to see Evan applying that principle again in his life. I am so grateful for his amazing example and his love for the work.
Right now they are teaching a women named Sister Daser. She likes what they teach and believes it but she just needs to know 100%. He said the spirit was really strong when they taught her and she prayed at the end of the app. Their hoping to challenge her to baptism this week! Their thinking maybe by Christmas. So if your looking for something to include in your prayers you can deifnitely include Sister Daser! Oh and she has a 17 year old daughter that needs prayers too :)
Evan loves the work! But its really hard for him to see people not wanting to hear about the gospel. He says he just wants to go out and yell "the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored! The Book of Mormon is incredible! Come hear about eternal life! Or Hey! God really does love you!" haha, I'm sure he'll give whatever the spirit tells him a try. Evan is absolutely amazing and I love him SO much! I am so grateful that he is my best friend! Here's a picture with him and his mission president, President Condie, and his wife.
