and that's a fact. I LOVE going home. I love it so much, I wish I could bring everyone home with me so they could see how great my home is, but then they would probably never want to go to their home again, because my home is the best place! There is no place like it. I love being with my family, I love the feeling of home, I love being in the country, I love escaping school, I love HOME!
I went home for the first time since school started for General Conference. As soon as we got there we had to go check on the chickens and bunnies, then we headed to Grandpa's to pick some apples. Mom already shared our pics :)
Not only was home wonderful that weekend, I also got to watch and hear the word of the Lord from His chosen servants. Man, General Conference is so wonderful! General Conference weekends have to be two of the best times of the year! Some thoughts from Conference...
-You know how they always tell you to come up with questions before conference and then pray to have them answered? Well I did this.. and my main question was what do I need to do with my life? Am I supposed to keep going to school? Go on a mission? Get married? (no I'm not dating anyone :)) or what?! Well for me one of the main themes of conference is probably receiving your own personal revelation. I also finally received a father's blessing that I'd been hoping for for weeks, and it to mentioned that I had the opportunity and blessing of praying to my Heavenly Father and receiving guidance from Him. So now I need to go to work. I don't know if you realize this... but I could have my mission papers in FIVE months! That is so super soon! So we'll see... :)
-To ask with real intent means to ask with real intentions of following your answer.
-Bearing testimony and living it so that your family and others can see it, and have no doubt that you KNOW this gospel is true.
-Be consistent and diligent in doing the little things (prayer, scripture study, temple attendance, SERVICE, etc.).
-God requires my very best!
-Visiting teaching is important! This is an opportunity to change someone's life, and to make some lifelong friends while I'm at it!
-Daily seek the Lord's help for needed changes.
-Because I was baptized, I have accepted the responsibility to share the gospel.
-Man's greatest happiness comes from loosing himself in service to others.
-There must be constant teaching, mostly by example.
So I know that's a lot, but I think it's mostly for me anyways :) I am so grateful that we have a living prophet today. But I am also super grateful that I have a right to receive personal revelation for myself. I know as I pray, with real intent, having faith, I will receive answers.
I am also super grateful for home. I'm grateful for my mom and her working hard to make it such a nice place to be. I'm grateful that my family loves me and gets excited to see me, andI am so grateful that I KNOW the truthfullness of the gospel.
Hurrah for Israel!

Wow, some great thoughts. Isn't personal revelation great. And so convenient when you are listening to the Lord's prophets. Life is so good and we have been so reminded how easily we can live the gospel, receive the spirit, and share the joy. I love you.
Hi Emily!
It was so good to see you at Trevor's wedding Reception!
I just wanted you to know that I haven't forgotten about the violin stuff....bare with me, I am still looking for some of it. Also, I lost the address you handed me at the reception. What's a good way to get a hold of you again?
